2008 San Francisco
Students ventured to San Francisco, California where the 2008 ICG hosted city leaders, coaches, and atheltes from almost 100 cities from around the world. These Games were the second time that a US city has hosted the Games as a symbol of promoting peace by bringing the world’s future leaders together.
Team Chesterfield was hosted for one day of the trip by the Swedenborgian Church of San Francisco which is over 100 yearls old in a beautiful historic section of town. The team enjoyed the rolling hills and thousands of steps during their team training run.
Team Chesterfield continued their mission to spread goodwill around the world by bringing a suitcase full of additional school supplies and a donation of funds for the Duang Preteep Foundation in Bangkok, that the Team supported while in Bangkok during the 2006 ICG. These items were brought back to some of the poorest children in Thailand by the delegation from Bangkok.
